  • Woodditton Village Fete

    The Woodditton Village Fete will be taking place Saturday 13th June,commencing at 12 pm at Parsonage Farm.This is always a well turned out affair and has things of interest for all ages. The organising committee have had their first meeting and can confirm one of he main attractions will be a return appearance of the popular Newmarket School of Dance who will perform during the afternoon. Please attend if you can and help keep this important part of village life thriving.

  • WOOD DITTON & SAXON STREET WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

    At the normal monthly meetings visitors/potential new members are welcome -these are held at Parsonage Farm, Wood Ditton on the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30p.m.

    26 April - Visit to Ulting Wick Tulip Garden, Maldon , Essex. £4 to include refreshments and guided tour of church. Meet 12.30 pm to share lifts
    9 May - Spring Plant & Bulb Sale, Refreshments available, 10 am – 12.30 pm Ellesmere Centre
    13 May - Hanging Baskets – Peter Chinnery
    10 June - Visit to Francine Raymond Garden at Troston. £5 to include wine and nibbles, followed by pub supper
    1 July - BBQ
    12 July - Annual Flower & Craft show with St Peters Church fete, Opens 1 pm to the public at the Ellesmere Centre
    9 Sept - Hands on Baskets and Tubs, with BBQ
    19 Sept - Visit to Dahlia Festival at Anglesey Abbey, Meet 1.30 pm to share lifts
    7 Oct - The Gardens of South Africa – Mrs Sylvia Allworthy

  • 1st Saxon Street Girls' Brigade
    New members are always welcome. 4 - 8 year olds meet from 5:15 to 6:30pm and 8+ meet from 6:30pm to 8pm at Saxon Street Methodist Church Hall. Marina Baldock is Captain. OK, I don't know which evening they girls meet or Marina's contact details, but I will try and find out!

  • THE 'BUSY BEARS' MOTHER & TODDLER GROUP
    The group meets in the Saxon Street Methodist Church Hall on Mondays, 9.30 - 11.30 am. Craft, toys, music and lots of fun. £1.50 per family, new members welcomed.

  • SAXON STREET CAMERA CLUB
    With the emphasis on digital photography the club meets at 7 pm in the Methodist Church Hall on the last Thursday of each month. If you are interested, turn up at one of the meetings.

  • KEEP FIT GROUP at 7.30 pm on Monday evenings at Saxon Street Methodist Church Hall about 45 minutes of not too strenuous exercise

  • MOBILE LIBRARY
    "Use it or lose it!". There is a possibility this service will be cancelled due to a lack of use, so please do use it. The timetable has been changed from 9th April in the hope of catching more young families after school hours. Immediately below is the existing timetable and below that is the timetable from 9th April

    At 74 The Street Kirtling 3.30 - 3.50 pm alternate Thursdays

    Jubilee Court Stetchworth alternate Tuesdays - 3.00 - 3.30 pm
    Dullingham alternate Tuesdays - Vicarage Close 2.00 - 2.20 pm, Algar Drive 2.25 - 2.50 pm

  • PUBLIC ACCESS COMPUTERS
    Free public access points for computer use are installed locally through Cambridgeshire Community Network, including Stetchworth (The Ellesmere Centre), Saxon Street (the Methodist Church Hall), Cheveley (Somerset Court), Kirtling (The Red Lion), also Burrough Green and Ashley. The P.Cs use continuous broadband connections.
