    Saturday 27th September - Friends' Day at All Saints Church Kirtling, with Clive Paine on 'The History and a Guided Tour of the Church.

    Tuesday 7th October 2008 7 pm - Neighbourhood Panel, at Ditton Lodge School St. Johns Avenue, Newmarket. This meeting, one of a series arranged by East Cambs District Council, covers all the villages from Ashley, Cheveley, through to Borough Green, Brinkley, Wood Ditton Stetchworth and Dullingham as well as the Cambridgeshire part of Newmarket and is an opportunity for local people to raise community issues with the local authority and police. Everyone welcome.

    June 29th. Kirtling Towers 'Help for Heroes' open gardens day attracted many visitors


    June 7th & 8th. St Peter's Church Stetchworth had beautiful flower arrangements for the Festival weekend.
    This one entitled 'Moses in the bullrushes' was created by Sandie Wilson

    Saturday June 7th. Wood Ditton's annual Church Fete at Parsonage Farm suffered from persistent light rain, which failed to dampen the spirits of the many who came to enjoy the occasion. For four pages of pictures start here

  • THE 'BUSY BEARS' MOTHER & TODDLER GROUP
    The group meets in the Saxon Street Methodist Church Hall on Mondays, 9.30 - 11.30 am. Craft, toys, music and lots of fun. £1.50 per family, new members welcomed.

  • BINGO
    The Saxon Street and Wood Ditton Bingo Club meets every two weeks at the Methodist Church Hall, Saxon Street where members play for grocery. In the interval they enjoy a cup of tea and a sandwich, also a raffle. New members are welcome, contact June Surrage (01638 730712) for more information.

  • SAXON STREET CAMERA CLUB
    With the emphasis on digital photography the club meets at 7 pm in the Methodist Church Hall on the last Thursday of each month. If you are interested, turn up at one of the meetings.

    Free public access points for computer use are installed locally through Cambridgeshire Community Network, including Stetchworth (The Ellesmere Centre), Saxon Street (the Methodist Church Hall), Cheveley (Somerset Court), Kirtling (The Red Lion), also Burrough Green and Ashley. The P.Cs use continuous broadband connections.
